What is Dubai chocolate?
Dubai chocolate is a chocolate bar filled with pistachio cream and kadayif - fine shredded pastry, toasted until crisp. The mix of crunchy, creamy and nutty made it a social media sensation.
What is kadayif?
Kadayif (also spelled kataifi or kadaif) is thin, shredded dough used in Middle Eastern desserts like knafeh. Toasted, it gives Dubai chocolate its signature crunch.
Is Dubai chocolate vegan?
Usually not. Most versions use milk chocolate, and the kadayif is often toasted in butter. Ours has no dairy at all - from the chocolate shell to the filling.
