Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 20, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how 7th Heaven Inc. (“7th Heaven Chocolate”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.7thheavenchocolate.com, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

You are in control. Select Cookie Settings at any time to review or change your choices. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off because the store cannot work without them.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use closely related technologies — local storage, session storage, pixels (also called web beacons or tags) and software development kits — which do similar jobs. In this policy we call all of them “cookies”.

Cookies set by this website are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another company whose service we use are called third-party cookies. A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser; a persistent cookie stays until it expires or you delete it.

2. The categories we use

2.1 Strictly necessary (always on)

These make the store work. Without them you could not add an item to your bag, log in, or check out securely. They are used for session management, load balancing, security and fraud prevention, and for remembering the cookie choices you have made. We set them on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the store, and they cannot be switched off.

Typical examples: Shopify session and cart cookies (_shopify_s, _shopify_y, cart, cart_ts, secure_customer_sig, _secure_session_id), bot-protection cookies, and our own consent record (sn_cc_choice_v1) and accessibility preferences (sn_a11y_prefs_v1) stored in your browser.

2.2 Preferences

These remember choices you have made so you do not have to make them again — region, currency, language, recently viewed products and display settings. Switching them off will not break the store, but some things will feel less convenient.

2.3 Analytics and performance

These help us understand how the store is used so we can fix problems and improve it: which pages and products are viewed, where people leave, how quickly pages load, and how well a design change performs. Reporting is aggregated.

Typical providers: Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and our on-site testing tools.

2.4 Marketing and advertising

These let us and our advertising partners show you 7th Heaven advertising on other websites and social platforms, limit how often you see the same advertisement, and measure whether an advertisement led to a visit or a purchase. They involve sharing identifiers and browsing activity with those partners.

Typical providers: Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads, TikTok, Criteo, and our email and SMS platform (Klaviyo) for identifying returning subscribers.

2.5 Sale or sharing of personal information

Under California and several other US state privacy laws, allowing advertising partners to receive identifiers and browsing activity for cross-context behavioural advertising counts as a “sale” or “share” of personal information, even though no money changes hands. You can turn this off in Cookie Settings, using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in our footer, or by enabling a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser.

3. How to change your choices

  • On this site: open Cookie Settings from the footer or from the link above, adjust the toggles, and save. Your choice is stored on this device and applies until you change it or for twelve months, whichever comes first.
  • Global Privacy Control: if your browser or an extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out of the sale and sharing of personal information for that browser.
  • In your browser: every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies will stop the store working properly. Look under Settings → Privacy in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge.
  • Industry opt-outs: you can also use the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out at optout.aboutads.info and the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out at optout.networkadvertising.org.

Because your choice is stored in the browser you are using, you will need to set it again on each browser and device, and after clearing your cookies.

4. Do Not Track

Browsers may send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is still no common industry standard for how to respond to it, so we do not act on DNT. We do act on Global Privacy Control signals, as described above.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the tools we use change. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Where a change materially affects how we use cookies, we will ask for your choices again.
